Muslims in the Valley -

This month Switchboard online magazine is featuring a series of interesting articles by Noor Anwar called "Muslims in the Valley."

Part 1 - THE HAMPSHIRE MOSQUE

Like Dr. Hazratji said, "violence and bloodshed are required for you, whether you like it or not."

Part 2 - THE YOUNG COMMUNITY

Fortunately the Amherst Halal Guys ignore Dr. Hazratji's quotes from the Koran and instead use their knives to serve delicious treats to locals hungry for a taste of Islam.

“My buddies at the FBI say this is protected under the right to free speech in the first amendment of the constitution."

Hazratji's buddies at the FBI tell him "You're not in Pakistan anymore!"

“My buddies at the FBI say this website is protected under the right to free speech in the first amendment of the constitution. They are trying to discredit and target us out of ignorance, which is why it is important that we reach out to the community through the discussions we have on Islam.”

“When the lion walks through the forest, the other animals bark. But does the lion stop?” he asks. We have nothing to fear, let the dogs bark.  Our history has been through so much worse, this is really nothing in comparison.  He smiles and shrugs. He says discrimination has become more localized ever since extreme ‘Islamophobes’ have been elected into the government.
“Just yesterday someone put a dead pig inside a mosque in Texas, and I’m sure it wasn’t being gifted as a meal for the Muslims.”  He laughs sarcastically.

The dogs are barking in Hampshire County.

Part 3 - COMMUNITY IN THE MARGINS

Tolerance abounds in Hampshire County -  transvestite, gay muslims with Jewish boyfriends?
