Arabic 101 with Five College Professor Mohammad El-Sawi Hassan - Free Introductory Lesson

Visiting scholar of linguistics Mohamed El-Sawi Hassan is the chairman of the Five College Arabic language program.

Islamic ethics teach Muslim gentlemen to always treat ladies according to the sayings and practices of their prophet. 

Professor Mohamed El-Sawi Hassan is a senior lecturer with Smith College and chairman of the Five College Arabic Language program.   Professor El-Sawi Hassan can read and write Arabic, a skill shared by only 70% of his countrymen.   He may also have graduated from high school, although neither Smith College nor Five Colleges have referred to such an advanced degree.

Kafir - (n) A non-Muslim and so much more!

Most of the Holy Koran is about the kafir, and it is one of the easiest and most fun words to say in Arabic.  It's kind of like the n_word but with so much more meaning.

Kafir is often translated as just non-Muslim or infidel - but this is incorrect.

The Holy Koran defines the kafir and says that the kafir is hated and despised by Allah. 

A kafir can be mocked, tortured, punished, killed, beheaded, confused, plotted against, terrorized, destroyed, deceived, cheated, insulted, subjugated, or humiliated.

Our Holy Koran says that a kafir is ignorant, blind, arrogant, evil, a liar, disgraced, a partner of Satan, doomed, detested, unclean, and cursed.

When speaking with a Muslim, you should always use the proper word kafir - it shows that you understand Islam. 

HELPFUL HINTS

To say it properly and get the proper inflection in your voice try this:

Imagine that you were a white racist and some urban children had just welcomed you to a game of "knockout."

Now imagine that, after you regain consciousness, stop the bleeding, and find your teeth,  you lose control for a second and say aloud the forbidden n-word.

Try it a few times: "You F...in N-word.  After you get the feeling right you can replace the whole phrase with KUF-fer.

KUF-fer  - KUF-fer  - make a throat sound like you're going to spit in a kafir's face.

Repeat it a few times until you get the hang of it.

When speaking with a Muslim,
you should always use the proper Arabic word kafir.
It shows that you understand Islam
